Profile & Authentication

Your Profile page combines personal account details with musician-specific preferences.

What you can manage

From Profile, you can update:

  • first name
  • last name
  • musical role
  • instruments
  • preferred key
  • website
  • bio

You can also:

  • replay onboarding tours
  • open the password update flow

Account identity

Team Chords shows your:

  • avatar
  • email address
  • active organization
  • role in the active organization

This helps confirm which team context you are currently using.

Musician details

The musician section is designed to store personal preferences and profile metadata.

Examples include:

  • role on the team
  • instruments you play
  • preferred key
  • personal website
  • short biography

Saving profile changes

When you save changes, Team Chords updates:

  1. your core user profile
  2. your musician profile details

After saving, the app refreshes your profile data.

Replaying tours

If you want another walkthrough of the app, the Profile page can replay:

  • the Library tour
  • the Set Lists tour

This is especially useful when:

  • you skipped onboarding the first time
  • the UI has changed
  • you are training a teammate beside you

Updating your password

The Profile page includes an Update Password option.

Use it if you need to:

  • rotate credentials
  • strengthen account security
  • recover from an old password you no longer want to use

Auth and sign-in notes

Team Chords uses Auth0-based authentication.

That means your access experience may include:

  • redirect-based login
  • callback handling
  • invite-aware sign-up/sign-in flows

Organization context

Your visible organization and role come from the organizations attached to your account profile.

If something looks wrong, check whether:

  • you joined the correct organization
  • your invite was accepted correctly
  • your account needs to be refreshed after a recent change
