Outputs / Live Display
In Team Chords, outputs are the live-ready song entries connected to a set list.
They determine:
- which chord sheet is used
- what key it should be shown in
- whether a capo should be indicated
- where it appears in the set list order
What an output does
Each set list song becomes an output entry.
When viewed in the set list share/preview screen, Team Chords can:
- transpose the song from its original key
- add capo information to the title
- render printable pages
- keep the order synced with set list changes
Public or shareable view
The set list share view is designed for reading, printing, and presenting.
It includes:
- the set list title
- rendered chord sheets
- page size controls
- print support
- live updates when the set list changes
Page size options
The set list view supports multiple paper sizes:
- Letter
- A4
- Legal
You can switch page size before printing to fit your preferred format.
Print behavior
The set list view has a print-friendly mode.
When you print:
- each output is rendered for paper layout
- Team Chords uses the selected page size
- the visible controls are hidden in print view
Use preview before printing if you need to verify spacing and readability.
Real-time updates
The set list view listens for live updates.
That means changes like these can appear without manually reloading:
- set list name changes
- output creation
- output update
- output deletion
- chord sheet content updates
- chord sheet deletion
This is useful when one person edits while others are already viewing the live set list.
Transposition behavior
Team Chords calculates the distance between the original song key and the chosen target key, then renders the transposed chart in the live view.
This helps teams keep:
- one base version in the library
- multiple performed keys in different set lists
Capo behavior
If a capo is set for an output, Team Chords updates the rendered title to show that capo information.
This helps musicians see performance instructions immediately.
Best practices for live use
Before rehearsal or service:
- confirm every song renders correctly
- verify target keys
- verify capo values
- test print output once
- keep the set list open on the device you'll use live
